Penobscot General Contractors was founded in 1970 in midcoast Maine. Since our founding, we’ve built a strong reputation and fostered long-standing relationships by adhering to our values and operating on LEAN construction principles underscored by our old-fashioned work ethic. In 2020, Jon DiCentes and Clay Maker took the helm of PGC. Under their leadership, we’ve expanded our services and our geographic reach while maintaining the commitment to the values that have long steered Penobscot General Contractors to success.
Quality. Honesty. Innovation. Integrity. Collaboration. Community. At PGC, these values are more than just buzzwords. They are the foundation of our success and the guide for how we approach every single project. Our legacy is built on trust, and every member of our team is committed to upholding and strengthening that reputation. Whether it’s constantly striving to improve upon our internal efficiencies or picking up the phone to have an open, transparent conversation with a project stakeholder, our values are lived out every day through every step of our projects.
Today Into The Future
Expanding our reach and building a team to meet the needs of construction management and building in the 21st century is our goal. We’re embracing new technologies, exploring innovative apporachs and fostering an environment where team members are encouraged to learn and grow. We’re looking to tomorrow, and we’re looking to the next five decades. Each day brings a new opportunity to innovate and to deliver and we are excited to see what the future brings for PGC, our partners and our clients. Working together, we’ll do more.
