Job Description
Penobscot General Contractors currently has an opening for an Assistant Project Manager for our commercial construction projects ranging from $500,000 to $15M. These projects vary in scope and include both new construction and renovation and are located within the state of Maine. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Overall Project Management support to include:
o RFI’s, submittals, preparing schedules, change orders
o Attending construction meetings
o Quality control
o Interaction with subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals
o Other duties as directed by PM and/or management team
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar
- 1-3 years’ experience within the construction field in project management or similar
- Ability to negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Scheduling software and knowledge of Procore
- Knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials, requisitions, changes and
sequences - Knowledge of industry safety standards
