Construction Project Manager

Job Description

The Penobscot Company General Contractors is seeking a motivated Construction Project Manager. Our commercial construction projects vary in scope and include new construction and renovation and range from $500,000 to $50M. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Complete job start-up and buyout
  • Writing and negotiating purchase orders and subcontracts
  • Scheduling
  • Job Costing
  • Requisitioning and invoicing
  • Negotiating change orders
  • Work closely with project Superintendent
  • Ensures job progress runs according to schedule
  • Ensures supplies and materials are ordered and on-site when needed
  • Ensures sufficient personnel are scheduled
  • Works closely with management, owners and design teams
  • Ensures project is on time and on budget
  • Regularly visits jobsite and attends construction meetings

Qualifications

  • MINIMUM OF 10 YEARS COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE
  • Proven ability to manage projects from start-up to finish effectively and efficiently
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computer software for job costing and scheduling. PROCORE is a plus
  • Degree in Project Management or similar field or equivalent on-the-job experience a must
  • Construction field experience a plus
