Construction Project Manager
Job Description
The Penobscot Company General Contractors is seeking a motivated Construction Project Manager. Our commercial construction projects vary in scope and include new construction and renovation and range from $500,000 to $50M. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Complete job start-up and buyout
- Writing and negotiating purchase orders and subcontracts
- Scheduling
- Job Costing
- Requisitioning and invoicing
- Negotiating change orders
- Work closely with project Superintendent
- Ensures job progress runs according to schedule
- Ensures supplies and materials are ordered and on-site when needed
- Ensures sufficient personnel are scheduled
- Works closely with management, owners and design teams
- Ensures project is on time and on budget
- Regularly visits jobsite and attends construction meetings
Qualifications
- MINIMUM OF 10 YEARS COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE
- Proven ability to manage projects from start-up to finish effectively and efficiently
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of computer software for job costing and scheduling. PROCORE is a plus
- Degree in Project Management or similar field or equivalent on-the-job experience a must
- Construction field experience a plus
