Penobscot General Contractors (PGC) is proud to partner with Hancock Lumber on the construction of a new manufacturing and office facility in Oxford, Maine—our fourth collaboration together. This project supports the expansion of Hancock Lumber’s prefabricated component manufacturing operations, increasing capacity for wall panels and other building systems that help improve jobsite efficiency.

The facility includes approximately 40,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 4,500 square feet of office and support areas within a pre-engineered metal building designed for high-volume production. The layout is centered on efficient material flow, equipment integration, and safe, reliable operations.

Located on a 10-acre site, the project also includes major infrastructure improvements to support manufacturing operations, including expanded parking and laydown areas, stormwater management systems, utility upgrades, a generator and fuel station, underground propane storage, and a new septic system.

PGC is managing construction in partnership with Hancock Lumber and the design team to deliver a facility that supports efficient production, day-to-day functionality, and future expansion.
